Aurora

Aurora Aksnes was born on June 15 in 1996 in Stavanger Norway. The name she is most commonly used for her professional work is Aurora and occasionally stylized using uppercase letters as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released through the label Decca Records in May 2015 and received a lot of praise from music bloggers and the press. The singer has released a number of high-profile cover songs, including Half the World Away (by Oasis), from the band Oasis) to accompany John Lewis' Christmas advert and Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole) that are widely loved. Katy Perry's praise for her track Runaway via a blog post brought the singer additional acknowledgement. It was her birthday celebration. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memory is of finding an old piano that was hidden away within her attic, then becoming fascinated with the sounds it produced. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents May Britt Aksnes, and Jan Oystein Aksnes urged Aurora Aksnes to take up music as an interest or career. Therefore, she created her own compositions. Her sources include renowned authors Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan and the style of Bjork. Her decision to begin performing their songs in public after her mom suggested they could help people not be famous with her music, but rather to help everyone else realize their importance and the ways they can affect the world. Her first piano lesson was when she was six years old and began to write music by the time she was nine. It took until her 14th birthday when she shared her story with her parents. There was no way she could have imagined to be Aurora. The actress claims that she likes writing songs. She says that music is her favourite way to feel anything.
